Having asked different artists to use the car as a carrier of an artistic intervention, we pushed 5 cars, as moving sculptures from garage to garage to celebrate la Fête des Garagistes. At each participating garage we stopped for a little intervention and gave the calendar “Fêtes des Garagistes” as a gift.
The Parade des Portes Bagages consists of “Voyage Voyage” on a Saab by Amber De Meulenijzer, “Archives Parallèlles” on a Mazda 2 by Andrea Kerstens, “Roadmovie” on a Volkswagen Polo by een-twee, “Dessin de Voiture avec Pierre” on a Fiat Panda by Atelier de l’Enjoliveur in collaboration with the neighbourhood, “Radio Enjoliveur (temporary mobile DIY radio from the trunk of a car)” on a Renault Chlio by YLIAM featuring Idris Kromah.
The project was made possible with the support of the Wijkcontract Made in Helihaven-Antwerpen, the commune of Brussels and Schaerbeek and Urban Brussels.
